Makeup artist, glow chaser, eyeliner enthusiast and mum of two.

Where it all started

I know every makeup artist says they've always loved makeup, but I really mean it! From raiding my mum's makeup bag as a little girl (see photo evidence!) to giving all my friends makeovers in primary school, I was obsessed from day one.

As a teenager I started a YouTube channel, filming makeup tutorials on my flip phone way before it was cool. I cringe looking back now, but it's where I first fell in love with teaching.

Fast forward a few years and I trained at Delamar Academy in London, then worked for brands like MAC, Tom Ford and Bobbi Brown before going freelance. Nearly 12 years later, makeup is still the only thing I've ever done, and it's a huge part of who I am.

Becoming a mum is the most beautiful, life-altering thing I've ever experienced. It really does feel like a rebirth - from maiden to mother. The old you doesn't disappear, she just softens and grows into someone new.

But in the middle of all that love, I lost myself a little. The sleepless nights, putting everyone else first... even as a makeup artist, I stopped taking those few minutes for me.

Do you know what brought me back? Makeup. A little glow, some liner, and suddenly I felt like me again. Not the old me, but this new version I was finally getting to know.

It gave me so much respect for women and mothers, and how much we quietly hold together. We deserve to feel good too.

That's why I'm so passionate about my lessons. Makeup isn't about covering you up or changing you - it's about helping you feel like yourself again, whatever chapter of life you're in.

It's connection. And love, in every single form.

I'm an old romantic at heart. I love love. I met my fiancé 14 years ago and he's truly my other half - he's made me believe in love even more. I'm all about romanticising the little things in life, a slow morning, a good coffee (always!), soft 60s music playing in the background. I really try to live in the here and now, soaking up the moment instead of worrying about what's next.

I'm such a girl's girl, too. I think women are incredible, and honestly, everything I do comes back to that. My love for women, for everything it means to be a woman, and for lifting each other up. That moment a bride looks in the mirror and goes "omg, is that really me?!" Watching a woman in one of my lessons realise she's got this. She's coming back to her. That's what it's all about for me.

My love language is definitely acts of service. I love caring for people, whether that's through makeup, cooking a big pot of something for the people I love, or just being there with good energy and a listening ear. Slow Sunday mornings with my little family, long walks in the Dorset countryside, a kitchen full of chatter... that's my happy place.

I'm a loving soul through and through, and that's what drives everything I do.

A few things you should know about me

• I'm half Turkish, and my ultimate comfort meal is Turkish chickpeas with rice, crusty bread and a big dollop of yoghurt. Heaven.

• My coffee order is an oat milk latte, one sugar, please and thank you!

• I'm a 90s baby with a very eclectic music taste: soft 60s, old school R&B, anything 90s and early 2000s, and I'm partial to a bit of Biggie and Tupac too.

• Can't live without: Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Filter and a good brow gel.

• I could rewatch Friends, Fresh Meat and Brassic forever.

• Dream trip: Japan or Korea. The food, the culture, I'm obsessed.

• Autumn is my season. Crisp mornings, cosy food, all the colours.

• Savoury over sweet, every single time.

• I used to be a night owl, then two under two turned me into an early bird!

• Hidden talent: I'm a really good cook, if I do say so myself.

• My sense of humour is a little bit silly and goofy, and I wouldn't have it any other way. A good laugh fixes almost everything!

• Broccoli. Just no.

• Makeup without blush. Every look is better with blush and I will die on this hill.

• Slow walkers. Why?!

• Love Island. Give me First Dates any day.
