A little about me…

Hi beautiful, I’m Mori!

I feel like every makeup artist says they’ve always had a passion for makeup but honestly? For as long as I can remember makeup has been a huge part of my life.

From being a little girl playing in my mums makeup (see photo evidence below!) to offering makeovers to all my friends in primary school - I’ve always been OBSESSED with everything makeup.

In the early 2000’s whilst I was in highschool I began a YouTube channel (before it was ‘cool’ or social media/being an influencer was even a thing!) and started filming on my flip phone sharing tips and tricks on how to create different celebrity makeup looks. I did YouTube for several years and really built my confidence in sharing and teaching makeup, and although I cringe looking back now - it was definitely the beginning of turning my passion into a career.

I later left home at 18 and worked hard for several years to move myself from the small town I was living in, to London. I always knew I wanted to attend the prestigious Delamar Academy and it was a dream come true to attend their 6 month Complete Makeup Artist training course in 2015.

Delamar was one of the most incredible and enriching experiences of my life and I am eternally grateful for the tremendously talented artists who taught me the fundamentals of makeup and how to work as a professional artist. I was taught by some of the industry's leading makeup artists and this truly laid the foundation for my career.

Once I graduated I spent several years frolicking about in London doing all the things young twenty somethings do; whilst working for some of the most esteemed beauty brands in the industry - including MAC, Tom Ford, and Bobbi Brown - before I ventured away from working for luxury brands and started working for myself.

This diverse experience has not only refined my technical skills but also enriched my understanding of beauty in all its forms. Over the years I have developed a keen eye for detail and a deep appreciation for the transformative power of makeup. I love what I do now more than ever -  it is one of the biggest blessings in my life that I get to do what I love most and call it a job.

I now live in a small town in Dorset with my fiancé and 2 young children, and work for myself freelancing as a bridal makeup artist. After moving about all over the country for the past 10 years, I feel so at home in the countryside and absolutely love living down south! When I’m not working you may find me cooking (my next biggest passion other than makeup!), going on long nature walks with my family or watching the world go by tucked up in a coffee shop somewhere.

Thank you for getting to know me a little and I can’t wait to hopefully get to know you, too!
